Featured in the `Continental Modeller' Treffburg is a fictitious railway town with cross border workings between Germany, Austria, Switzerland and Italy are commonplace, the aim of the layout is to replicate this scene and to be able to show a variety of express, local and freight workings. The track consists of an inner and outer circuit, with scenery on the front only, and entering tunnels at each end of the layout to disguise a sharp curve to the storage yard at the rear.
The rolling stock range comes from many of the continental suppliers with Roco, Fleishman, Piko, Lima, Kleinbahn, Halling and Hobbytrain all putting in an appearance at some stage. There is also a tramway which runs along the top of the layout, it is controlled with DCC, so although it is a single track going in a circuit, more than one tram can be controlled at one time. It is 27 feet long, there is only one control panel, but there is an inner and an outer, so along with the tramway, two to six operators can control this layout at one time.
