Eglington and Garnock is an end to end layout with a loop at the back. The layout is very fun to operate and requires some problem solving skills as there is no runround in either of the stations. Instead of using a runround two engines are used, you just have to remember to take the pilot out of the station before you bring the train back. All the point are switched with the old coat hanger system, rods and wires. There are three different sections to the layout, at one end you have the busy streets of a bustling town, at the other you have the quiet, gentle and relaxing countryside village with the local station, and in the middle you have the dirty and grimy iron works, which provides a contrast to the two scenes at either end.
